FSANZ consulting on review of Safe Food Australia

11 Aug 2015

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has released a consultation paper on a review of Safe Food Australia.

FSANZ is seeking input for the review, particularly from local government and food businesses.

This is a key document used by food businesses and enforcement agencies to help them produce safe food.

The review will seek to update the document for current food safety issues and trends including foods from different cultures and modern equipment, provide new guidance for mobile vendors and home-based vendors and to update the evidence referenced. The format and delivery of the publication will also be reviewed.

The deadline for submissions is 6pm, 18 September 2015.
