The Protein Bread Company (PBCo) is conducting a recall of their Vegan Egg Replacer 180g, Protein Muffin Mix 340g and Protein Pancake Mix 300g. The product has been available for sale online and at independent stores in NSW, QLD and WA.
Date markings:
- Vegan Egg Replacer: Best Before 06Oct23
- Protein Muffin Mix: Best Before 10Oct23 and 25Aug23
- Protein Pancake Mix: Best Before 20Oct23 and 06Nov23 and 26Nov23
Problem: The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (soy).
Food safety hazard: Any consumers who have a soy allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.
Country of origin: Australia
What to do: Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Consumers who have a soy allergy or intolerance should not consume these products and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
